sometimes i get extremely worried about the place i live in. i mean, i love it, if you think about it, it is quite possibly one of the best places in the entire world. i am extremely blessed to live her under such incredible conditions. however…
i was in math class and someone’s cell phone goes off. of course we all know our teacher’s feelings regarding cell phones, and not a soul moved. and then we look at this one girl who was fiddling with her backpack and we go, “stephanie!” “i swear it’s not me! i promise i promise!” and then my teacher looks at this other kid, and he’s like “um, well i don’t think it’s me, let me check.” and so do a couple of other people, and before you know it, cell phone check! it was really funny at the time, but as i got thinking about it, it is quite sad. almost every single person in that room
had a cell phone to check. in class of about 25 juniors and seniors, 23 had cell phones. do you know how splurg-y that is? dang! when people in other countries, or in other counties can barely afford to serve a meal???!!! and how open is our classroom that we can all sit down and check our cell phone in the middle of class??
culture shock…
