Visual Basic .NET for Free!

I received in the mail yesterday my free copy of Visual Basic .NET, which I received for watching and rating 5 videos on the MSDN site. I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with it, as I don’t have a whole lot of interest in it, and stink at programming in VB anyways. Hmm, o well. Anybody wanna pay for it?? ;-)

Yeah, MS really is giving away their tools to anybody who wants them.

As Joel Spolsky says (http://www.joelonsoftware.com/articles/APIWar.html), as long as it’s not “free” they’re hoping to avoid the anti-
monopoly wrath of Borland, Metroworks and other IDE developer shops.
